These table runners are woven as if walking a path. After setting up the loom, I make decisions in the moment while weaving - left here, then right, straight, diagonal. This creates a cloth with no repeat, as the constantly changing path winds over the piece. For me, weaving is a physical record of time and place, so each table runner is embedded with unique markers that can't be replicated.
